Print Information

Print Information:

All the prints are created on an Epson 7800 with Epson K3 inks on Epson Ultrasmooth Fine Art paper and are extremely long lived and archival (see below). The prints are normally approximately 20” X 30”, but can be ordered much larger (or smaller) depending upon the requirements of display space. They are offered in signed and strictly limited, small editions. Contact the studio for current prices and availability.

The sculpted photos are mounted on acid-free, archival boards which are easily mounted to a wall.

Digital Print Longevity and Care:

The prints and sculpted photographs are sprayed with PrintGuard to help protect them from dust and UV damage. However, when displayed should never be hung in direct sunlight. When framing is desired, they should always be mounted behind UV glass for added protection. For the most extensive scientific testing of the longevity and preservation of inkjet prints (also called Giclees and many other inventive names) see www.wilhelm-research.com

Confusion about digital printmaking still exists. It is very important to know that the particular mixture of an ink and a paper have been tested for light and moisture longevity, as the chemistry is different for each pairing of product brands. Many of the digital products are extensively tested and the information is readily available to printmakers, buyers and gallery owners.

All artwork (painting, drawing, graphics, photos and digital prints) is susceptible to fading and breakdown from accidental over-exposure to UV rays and moisture.
